Grand Opening of Historic African American Museum: September 23-25, 2016
The National Museum of African American History and Culture in Washington D.C. will officially open Friday, September 23, 2016 and festivities will last until Sunday, September 25, 2016. This historic building, the latest in the Smithsonian Museum collection, and the last building to be built on the Mall in Washington DC, will celebrate the rich history of African Americans and their contributions to this country. It is only fitting that such a culturally significant building would be design by two world renowned minority architects, David Adjaye and Phil Freelon. For more information see the links below.
